You can have an epic adventure at this surreal gorge near Toronto. With towering stone walls, rushing rapids and incredible views, it's a paradise for nature-lovers.

Located an hour and a half from the city, the unique experience takes you past some of North America's "wildest" white water rapids.

The roaring waves and turquoise waters are a majestic sight to see and there are several viewing platforms along the trail which take you even closer to this natural wonder.

The experience is reopening soon, and here's what to know before heading out.

Niagara Parks' White Water Walk "offers a first-hand lesson in the raw power and peril of the Niagara River’s Class 6 whitewater rapids," according to the website.

The self-guided adventure begins with an elevator ride which takes you down 70 metres to the base of the Niagara Gorge. From there, you'll travel along a quarter-mile riverside boardwalk where you'll be treated to views of the rushing rapids.

The journey includes a 73 meter tunnel as well as views of the 410-million-year-old rock layers of the Niagara Gorge.

The White Water Walk is set to reopen for the season on April 20, 2024 and tickets are available online.

If you're looking for a fun spring adventure, this majestic river walk is worth a road trip.
