Summer is around the bend and if you're already dreaming about sandy shores, sunny skies and sparkling blue waters, you'll want to plan a trip to this Ontario provincial park.

The park is home to a stunning soft-sand beach that will have you feeling like you've taken a trip to the tropics. With 3.2 kilometres of fine sand shores and "Caribbean-blue water," you can have a mini beach vacay without a plane ticket.

It's never too early to start planning those summer adventures, so consider adding this hidden gem to your warm-weather plans.

Here's what to know about this Ontario provincial park and its heavenly beach.

Pancake Bay Provincial Park, located in Batchawana Bay, is a beautiful destination to explore. The park is home to scenic trails, camping experiences and, of course, a gorgeous beach.

The beach is the longest on Lake Superior and, according to the Ontario Parks website, is one of the "finest" in North America.

While Lake Superior can be a chilly spot to swim, the shallows at Pancake Bay are warmer, making it a great spot to take a dip.

Another highlight of the park is the 14 kilometre Lookout Trail. This hike takes you along a stretch of Lake Superior known as the "graveyard of the Great Lakes" and features panoramic views of the water.

Whether you're visiting for a day or camping for a few nights, Pancake Bay Provincial Park is a stunning spot to explore.
