Entry-level jobs aren't often considered to be the highest-earning, but there are exceptions to the rule. There are some Ontario government jobs open right now that require little to no previous experience. They also happen to pay a high hourly wage.

These positions, as listed on the Ontario Public Service Careers website, are varied in their scope and located in different regions across the province.

Currently, the Ministry of the Attorney General is looking for someone to fill the position of Court and Client Representative in Kenora.

The job is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, and the salary is an impressive $25.13 to $29.29 an hour.

The only mandatory requirements are a valid driver's licence, the ability to travel, and a criminal records check.

The posting calls this a "challenging opportunity," where you will "provide technical guidance, information and support for the provision of an accessible, fair, timely and effective justice service to the public and justice participants."

If working in a courtroom isn't up your alley, there are a variety of other positions available to apply to, as well.

The Roy McMurtry Youth Centre in Brampton is looking for a Recreation Officer to help "plan, organize, implement and evaluate a balanced program of physical, social, cultural and leisure activities for the facility."

The job requires current first aid and CPR and AED training, but it pays an hourly rate of anywhere between $28.70 and $35.57.

Ontario's Workplace Safety and Insurance Board is hiring customer service representatives in several different cities, including Hamilton, Toronto and Windsor.

They're planning to hire both bilingual and English-speaking candidates for both permanent and temporary placements.

The job posting states that salaries can start from $56,085.59; however, that may vary depending on the number of hours worked.

If you're in the market for a new career and are looking to give back to the province in a significant way, then checking out any of these entry-level jobs might be the right choice for you.
