11 Super Personal Photos Of Trudeau & His Family Taken By His Own Photographer

What an insight!
Managing Editor, Canada

This year, many Canadians will have seen the prime minister's face on their screens more than ever before. However, it’s much more unusual to see photos of Trudeau's family.

To mark the end of 2020, the PM’s personal photographer Adam Scotti shared a series of moving photos showing what a challenging year it has been.

As well as images of Trudeau’s formal appearances, Scotti has also spent several years capturing deeply personal moments from his home life, too.

While Scotti hasn’t provided too many details about this image, it’s clear the Trudeau family are sharing a quiet moment together while on the road during the 2019 federal election.

While the prime minister may not be prone to a selfie himself, his daughter Ella Grace can be seen teaching him the ropes in this photo from 2019.

Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, have never been afraid to share their super-affectionate photos together. This candid shot, taken by Scotti in July 2020, shows an intimate off-camera moment.

This picture from June 2020 shows Trudeau’s youngest son, Hadrien, eating an ice-cream before masking-up as per Canada’s public health advice. With a little help from dad, of course!

Also taken by Scotti during the 2019 Canadian election campaign, this image shows Trudeau in full dad-mode once again.

This perfectly-candid photo of the whole family was taken on a trip to Montreal in 2019. It was obviously before 2020’s “no touching your face” rule, eh Hadrien?

This photo was taken in September 2019, on the grounds of Rideau Hall. Mrs. Trudeau can be seen shoe-less, while her husband has removed his jacket. Perhaps a lengthy meeting had just ended?

Take outs and quick meals on the road were probably common for the Trudeau family when travelling the country in 2019. Scotti captioned this image, “Dad joke.”

During the Toronto Raptors celebration parade in June 2019, the Trudeau kids met Drake. By the smiles on everybody’s faces, it looks like a pretty cool moment all-round!

Last year, when Canada Day celebrations were a little more normal, Hadrien appeared to enjoy honouring the day with his parents. Aww!

This image was captured in May 2019 and shows the Canadian couple embracing one another. After 17 years together, their huge grins appear to be as big as ever.
