Staff Writer

Glide through a frozen paradise this winter. This skating trail near Ottawa is opening in December and will be better than ever before.

Just 50 minutes from Ottawa is Patinage en Foret, where you can skate through the forest.

To celebrate its fifth season, the company told Narcity that they would be making the trail 300 metres longer and one-way.

But that isn't all; there will be more firepits to keep you toasty, a shelter, heated outdoor bathrooms, and a roundabout that circles a festive evergreen.

The exact season dates depend on the weather, but they hope to open on Sunday, December 20.

Tickets will be $14 per person, and they will sell snacks and hot chocolate too.

They will also have a magical evening experience that you'll want to try, where the entire area will glow from flickering torches.

It is time to find your warmest jacket; this activity looks too fun to miss.
