Trudeau Is Working From Rideau Cottage Again Now & It's Like March All Over Again

Get ready for COVID-19 updates from his front steps.

With COVID-19 cases at record levels in Canada, Justin Trudeau's Rideau Cottage home will once again be where he works for the next little while.

He announced during a press conference just outside of his front door on November 20 that he's going to be staying put.

"In the coming days, I will be working from home as much as possible and I'll be addressing you again from these steps next week," Trudeau said.

Now is the time for each of us to once again rise to the occasion and do our part. Justin Trudeau

This is the first time that Trudeau has given a COVID-19 update from his house in a while and Canadians weren't sure how to process the change of venue.

At the beginning of the pandemic, he worked from home for a bit but then worked from his office on Parliament Hill more recently.

He said that he's back in front of his house now because we need "one last big effort" over the coming months to fight COVID-19 and that starts with the coming weeks.

"Now is the time for each of us to once again rise to the occasion and do our part," Trudeau noted.

New modelling from the Public Health Agency of Canada was released the same day that the Prime Minister started working from home again.

It's forecasted that Canada could see over 20,000 daily cases of COVID-19 by the end of December if we don't reduce our contacts.
