We're witnessing the end of a Canadian era, so it makes sense that the prime minister is getting involved.

The Kim's Convenience series finale airs tonight, April 13, and even Justin Trudeau is joining in by sharing his thoughts on the show and posting a video of star Simu Liu to celebrate and seek more diversity in our stories on the screen.

"When you have diversity in front of and behind the camera, everybody wins and it just contributes to a more diverse and rich fabric of society," says Liu, who also talks about getting cast in Marvel's "Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings".

Many people are upset about Kim's Convenience ending (the final episode airs at 8 p.m. EST Tuesday night) including Liu, who said he was "f**ing angry" about the show finishing.

But a country — and its prime minister — will have to say "okay, see you!" tonight.
