Dr. Tam Marked Canada's Pandemic Response & She Gave The Country A Passing Grade

But she thinks Canada "can always do better."

Senior Writer

Dr. Theresa Tam graded the COVID-19 pandemic response in Canada and she gave the country a passing mark, but not an A+.

While speaking on The Brandon Gonez Show on May 2, Canada's top doctor was asked how she would grade how the country has responded to the pandemic.

"We can always do better because it is such a major and complex emergency," Tam said.

But she said that Canada is "certainly" in the B-grade range and noted that others have given the country a B+.

Recently, Tam revealed that restrictions are working to drive down the number of infections and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared that Canada might see some things return to normal soon as the country is on track for "a one-dose summer."
