Parks Canada is hiring for a few jobs in cities across the country that don't require you to work outdoors all day.

You can make up to $137,000 a year or $41 an hour with these positions!

Parks Canada manages national parks, marine conservation areas and historic sites across the country.

So, you might think that all positions with the federal agency involve working outside as visitor services attendants, lifeguards, heritage presenters, and facilities attendants.

But there are a few Parks Canada jobs that don't require you to be outdoors all the time.

These positions pay between $57,000 and $137,000 a year or $37 and $41 an hour.

Here are some jobs with Parks Canada that won't have you working outdoors all day.

Executive Assistant

Salary: $69,062 to $74,408

Company: Parks Canada

Location: Moncton, NB

Who Should Apply: You must have successfully completed high school according to provincial standards or have a combination of education, training and experience.

Also, you need experience providing administrative support services like preparing correspondence, preparing and formatting documents, managing files and records, and more.

It's required that you have experience in:

  • solving problems independently and anticipating needs
  • planning and organizing work, establishing priorities and working effectively under pressure and conflicting demands

You must have verbal and written communication skills and be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English and French.

Also, you must be able to work overtime as required.

Who Should Apply: You must have graduated from a two-year program at a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another relevant field.

It's required that you have significant experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, or providing support software or hardware, and providing technical assistance, training and advice to clients.

Also, you need to have knowledge of:

  • computer troubleshooting principles and concepts
  • managing Microsoft services, including Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and the Microsoft 365 suite
  • ITIL basic principles and best practices

The ability to effectively communicate and to brief non-technical clients on technical issues is required.

Also, you must be willing to work overtime, work on weekends and statutory holidays, and travel occasionally.

  • the repair of diesel and gas-powered engines, including internal combustion engines, transmissions, suspensions, electrical, steering, braking, and drive systems

You need to have knowledge of

  • preventative maintenance principles, procedures, and regulations
  • troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
  • health and safety policies and procedures

The ability to read mechanical drawings is also required.

You must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting supplies, tools and equipment and standing for prolonged periods.

You could be required to lift 50 to 100 pounds and carry 25 to 50 pounds.
