It's been a rough start this Wednesday as the Tempe Town Lake bridge experienced a train derailment and fire.

Tempe Police and fire crews are on-site battling the flames.

The news broke this morning at around 6:48 a.m.

Due to this unexpected event, the lake will be closed until further notice.

You can also expect some road closures, "including 202 from 101 to the SR143," according to police updates.
