Canada now has 1,800 new COVID-19 cases and exactly half of them are in Quebec.
New figures from the federal government, show that Quebec is seeing 900 cases as of 7 p.m. ET on October 7.
This means the country's COVID-19 cases are split down the middle between them and the other provinces and territories.

Quebec also makes up over half of the deaths reported yesterday that saw 11 new deaths, seven of which are from there.
Ontario reported 583 new cases and one death.
As of yesterday, 66,301 people were tested for the virus in Canada.
41,862 of those tests were in Ontario, while 13,008 were done in Quebec.
This comes two days after another province saw a similar spike in numbers.
As of Tuesday morning, the province of Alberta saw 894 active cases.
As a result, Alberta's top doctor, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, deemed it an "alarming trend" that saw residents going against the grain of COVID-19 regulations.
So far, more than almost eight million people total have been tested for COVID-19 in Canada.
