Sword Attack In Quebec: A Man Was Arrested After 2 People Died & More Were Hurt

An arrest was made on Sunday morning in relation to an alleged sword attack in Quebec City.

On Saturday evening, just before 10:30 p.m., police were called to the historic district of Quebec where multiple people had been stabbed.

According to CBC News, two people had been stabbed to death and five people had been injured by a man who was wearing a medieval outfit and carrying a sword.

Officials searched for the suspect for two-and-a-half hours before arresting him at around 1 a.m. in the city’s Old Port.

The five people who were injured during the attack have been transported to the hospital with various injuries, Quebec Police confirmed on Sunday morning.

The suspect was also taken to a local hospital after the Halloween-night attacks, but information about his condition has not been released by officials.

The person who has been arrested is believed to be a man in his mid-20s.

According to a tweet from police, "There is no indication that the suspect may have acted on motives other than personal ones."
