Fall is a season that's full of romantic vibes. With sweater weather, stunning scenery, spiced coffees and cozy evenings, it's the perfect time of year to plan a little getaway with that special someone.

You don't need to hop on a plane in order to enjoy a magical autumn vacation. This local spot is one of "Ontario's best romantic getaways and vacation ideas this fall," according to Destination Ontario.

St. Jacobs, a charming village located about an hour away from Toronto, is an idyllic spot for some "country loving."

The village and surrounding area boast cute markets, cozy bakeries, pumpkin patches, shops and more.

You can steal a kiss at the dreamy West Montrose Covered Bridge — the last remaining bridge of its kind in Ontario. The bridge, also known as "The Kissing Bridge," can be found along the Kissing Bridge Trailway which connects Guelph to Millbank.

You'll also want to check out the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market. According to the website, it's the "largest year-round indoor/outdoor farmers' market in Canada" and is brimming with sweet treats, local produce, art and more.

Another activity to enjoy in the area is the Heritage Hopper Train at the Waterloo Central Railway. The experience whisks you through enchanting fall colours for the ultimate romantic outing.

St. Jacobs Village offers many local shops to explore as well as cafes and restaurants.

Destination Ontario suggests booking a cabin stay at The Blue Bruce B&B for a dreamy couples getaway.
