Orangeville is a quaint village located a short drive from the city. According to its tourism website, "you'll find historic streetscapes and lush landscapes that set the scene for first-rate culinary offerings and surprising moments of creativity."

The historic main street is dotted with cute local shops, cafes and eateries that will have you feeling like you've stepped into a Hallmark film.

There's lots to enjoy in and around the town. From theatre performances to museums and art galleries, you can explore a vibrant arts scene and rich local heritage.

Island Lake Conservation Area is a popular hiking spot. The destination features several scenic trails, boardwalks, and water views.

The weekly farmers' market is brimming with "fresh locally grown produce and meats, small batch, ready-to-eat sweets and savouries, handcrafted goods, and more," according to the website.
