There is still hope for some summer fun this year. Ontario Place is receiving funding to help put on multiple open-air events and festivals. Ontario Place events will include drive-in film screenings, two film festivals, comedy, and a virtual jazz festival.

The line up includes five organizations that will be hosting events for the public to attend and "safely reengage in art and culture experiences," according to a news release

The first one is called Lavazza Film Festival,  running from July 20-31. They will be showing the latest international films from across continents, with a spotlight on Italy.

Next is Toronto Shines, a live, drive-in entertainment and comedy show, which will be running from now through to October.

DriveInTO is also on the bill, which is a City initiative with the aim of screening free drive-in movies throughout the month of August.

They will include programming from Hot Docs, ImagiNATIVE and TIFF.

As we move into September, guests will have the option to attend the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival, which will go from September 5-6.

Finally, TIFF will be closing off the season from September 10-19, with 50 feature films and other programming in the works.

Once on the property, guests can also enjoy boat rentals and a restaurant experience at the on-site Vista Eatery, which has a gorgeous lake-side patio.

Trillium Park and the William G. Davis trail will also provide the space for people to physically distance while still taking in the scenery.

Standard COVID-19 health and safety guidelines will be in place for all guests.
