One brand of sausages is being recalled because it may contain bacterial pathogens.

The company in question, Harvest Meats, has alerted the public about their Polish Sausages citing it could pose a risk to your health as the meat was 'undercooked,' according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency

The report indicates that the product was sold in British ColumbiaAlbertaSaskatchewanManitobaNorthwest Territories and Ontario

Additionally, they were sold in 675 g packages and would have a best-before-date of March 15, 2021.  

The food agency says the public should avoid consuming this product and verify if it can be found in your home. They advise that people either throw out the recalled product or return it to the location it was originally purchased at. 

As the meat is said to be considered undercooked, it may possibly contain bacterial pathogens that can make you ill. 

What's more, the Government of Canada also says that 'foodborne' pathogens, or food that is considered contaminated by bacteria, can bring about food poisoning.

"Many people experience nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. You should see a doctor as soon as possible if you think you have a foodborne illness," the government site explained. 

So far there have been no reports of sickness related to the consumption of this meat product.
