Toronto’s New Hotel Has Resort Vibes With A Rooftop Oasis & Here’s A First Look (PHOTOS)

We got a peek inside all four of its restaurants.

Lead Writer, Travel

A brand new spot for boozy drinks, dining, and sky-scraping views is now open in Toronto, and it's like a mini-vacation.

1 Hotel Toronto is a nature-focused luxury venue that's making its Canadian debut on Wednesday, August 4.

Located in the heart of King West Village, the new getaway spot boasts 112 rooms, five restaurants and entertainment concepts, a rooftop terrace, and more.

The hotel is all about the environment and sustainability, and 2021 trees are being planted around Toronto in celebration of the grand opening.

Despite being in a busy city, the venue really does feel like a nature escape. Plants and greenery decorate both the outside and interior of the place so you can get all those lost-in-the-woods vibes.

You can step into a leafy paradise at the Garden Pavillion, located just outside of the hotel. The serene little spot has more than 40 fruits and vegetables, which are used in many restaurant dishes, and the area can sit up to 40 people. A bee hotel is nestled amongst the greenery since even insects need a vacation sometimes.

There are four restaurants and bars located at this spot; 1 Kitchen, Casa Madera, Flora Lounge, and Harriet's Rooftop.

1 Kitchen serves up farm-to-table dishes in a leafy oasis and uses ingredients straight from the garden. The best news is there's a weekend brunch, and you can order all sorts of dishes like sweet potato waffles, focaccia french toast and more.

Casa Madera is an immersive dining experience opening soon, and you can fill up on Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine while enjoying live shows.

Flora Lounge, the lobby bar, is located beneath a stunning flower installation that stretches all the way to the ceiling. Handcrafted drinks topped with blooms from the garden can be found here.

You can soak up views of the CN Tower from Harriet's Rooftop, located far above the city. The sky-high eatery has an open sushi bar and light bites and plans to welcome guests soon. Plus, it's right next to the pool, and you can get enjoy bottle service as you relax by the water.

The pool itself boasts the same skyscraping views and is surrounded by modern lounge chairs and umbrellas. Right now it's only open to guests, but it may open to the public in the future.

The hotel isn't just for eating and sleeping. The venue will host a number of fun events that are open to the public such as tarot card readings.

Whether you're grabbing weekend brunch, out for some boozy drinks, or soaking up city views, this hotel is a unique new place to treat yourself.
