TikTok is great for finding hidden gems and new recipes, and one Toronto spot went viral on the social media platform, for its unique pasta sauce. Toronto's St. Lawrence Market's famous sauce is actually a blend of three different pasta sauces, and I set out to see if it was worth all the hype.

Pasta sauces have always managed to find their niche on TikTok; whether that's the famous feta-baked pasta or how to make the best tomato sauce from Italy, there's always someone coming up with the easiest and most delicious ideas.

This latest viral pasta sauce is bought from a stall in Toronto though, and is pretty different from your typical red sauce.

I tried St. Lawrence Market’s viral pasta sauce, and here is my honest opinion 🍝##stlawrencemarket##pastasauce##stlawrencepizzaandpasta##stlawrencepastasauce##viralpastasaucetoronto##torontopastasauce##torontopasta##torontopastasauce##stlawrencemarket

The pasta sauce is great for everyone who likes a creamy, pesto, and tomato-based sauce because it has all three components.

I went to St. Lawrence Pizza & Pasta, an Italian stand located at the back of St. Lawrence Market in Toronto and the minute I walked up to the counter with my camera, the person working instantly knew what I was there for.

The pasta sauce comes in two sizes; I bought the smaller one for $6.99, but if I could do it again I would definitely get the bigger size because I made too much pasta for the sauce.

I can literally smell the basil through the container of sauce my mouth is watering

Once I got home, I checked out Tiktok for instructions on how best to eat the pasta sauce. Some people bought fresh pasta from St. Lawrence Market but I had some at home, so I just used that.

The pasta sauce consists of Alfredo, pesto and tomato sauce in one container and all you have to do is heat it up in a pot while stirring constantly and then add it to your cooked pasta.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned about this viral pasta sauce was the spice!! It threw me for a loop when the employee asked if we wanted it spicy - the answer is always yes!! Next time you are at the St. Lawrence market do not skip out on Pizza and Pastas triple sauce, it will not disappoint!! There are loads of fresh pasta options to choose from. The cost for the large sauce and two (generous) portions of fresh pasta was $20. #stlawrencemarket #stlawrencepizzaandpasta #torontofood

Now, if I'm going to be completely honest with you, the pasta sauce is aromatic and looks delicious, especially when mixed up with the pasta, but I wouldn't say it was my favourite.

If I added minced meat, some parmesan, basil and fresh black pepper, I could elevate the dish and make it more flavourful. But what I did enjoy about viral pasta sauce was its convenience and consistency.

The tomato sauce was also very fresh and there were chunks that I really enjoyed biting into because they were bursting with flavour and super juicy.

Overall, I would certainly buy the St. Lawrence Market pasta sauce again because it tastes a lot better than your average grocery store pasta sauce, in my opinion. Still, I would also grab a couple more ingredients along with it to add more flavour.

Have you tried the viral pasta sauce yet?
