Joaquin Phoenix & Rooney Mara Are In Toronto & They Hit Up A Vegan Place For Lunch

A Toronto vegan restaurant just got the endorsement of a lifetime. Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are in Toronto and they surprised the Animal Liberation Kitchen with a lunch visit!

The couple stopped by the local Toronto business on Wednesday, afternoon.

Unsurprisingly, the staff was incredibly excited to see them.

The couple ordered "smokey mac and cheese with kimchi, spiced chickpea avocado sandwich, chilli, [and a] loaded veggie wrap," said the business' Instagram post.

Phoenix is well-known for his 2019 portrayal of the Joker in the Batman franchise.

Celebrity sightings have been happening all over the GTA this month.

In Milton and Etobicoke on Wednesday, Kevin Hart was spotted hooting, hollering, and all-around having a great time while filming his new movie Man from Toronto.

If Kyle Lowry was the unofficial leader of the Toronto Raptors during his time with the team, then Fred VanVleet is his replacement, and Thursday night's game was a pivotal moment of Freddie taking up the mantle of "head honcho."

Not only did VanVleet put up an impressive 29 points during the Raptors face-off against the Milwaukee Bucks, practically carrying his teammates to victory, he also put his leadership skills to the test.
