A Toronto vegan restaurant just got the endorsement of a lifetime. Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are in Toronto and they surprised the Animal Liberation Kitchen with a lunch visit!

The couple stopped by the local Toronto business on Wednesday, afternoon.

Unsurprisingly, the staff was incredibly excited to see them.

The couple ordered "smokey mac and cheese with kimchi, spiced chickpea avocado sandwich, chilli, [and a] loaded veggie wrap," said the business' Instagram post.

Phoenix is well-known for his 2019 portrayal of the Joker in the Batman franchise.
