An Ontario driver was in for a surprise after their vehicle was hit by a flying saw blade.

According to the Central Region OPP, the circular blade, which embedded itself into the front of the motorist's car, fell off of a passing vehicle.

In a photo that was posted to the OPP Twitter on Friday, it appears that the sharp object cut through part of the car.

Police are now reminding people to secure all loose items before driving.

Last month, the OPP was also forced to release a warning after multiple incidents of flying tires were reported on Highway 401.
