OPP Released Warnings After Multiple Flying Wheels Were Reported On The 401
The Ontario Provincial Police is warning residents to check their tires after reports of a 401 accident.
In a press release, police state that they responded to two separate incidents on the same day with reports of wheels coming off of a vehicle.

At around 4:30 p.m. on February 24, officers were called to the Blandford-Blenheim Township area of Highway 401 after a set of transport truck tires were found abandoned in a ditch.
The owner of the truck was not found and no injuries were reported.
However, later that day, a tractor-trailer was travelling down the 401 when it was struck by a flying tire from another vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle that lost the tire was not located and no serious injuries were reported.
The OPP is now warning drivers, especially anyone operating commercial motor vehicles, to do daily inspections.
This isn't the first time that flying tires have become an issue in Ontario.
Back in August, a 24-year-old was tragically killed after a wheel smashed into his windshield.
