Ontario Driver Nearly Hit After Flying Wooden Board Smashes Through Car Windshield (PHOTOS)

Police are still looking for the vehicle the board flew off of.

Contributing Writer

A freak accident on Highway 89 nearly cost an Ontario driver their life last week, and police are looking for more information.

According to Wellington OPP, the incident, which occurred at around 9:20 a.m. on Friday, July 30, resulted in the SUV's windshield being shattered by a wooden board.

The loose object reportedly flew off a trailer being pulled by a black F-150 or F-250 pick-up, which was last seen driving southbound on Highway 89.

Police later shared images of the collision, which show how the board slammed through the vehicle's front windshield and into its passenger side seat.

Thankfully, the accident didn't result in any injuries, but witnesses are being asked to reach out to the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
