If you need a daily dose of cuteness, Ontario Provincial Police is here to help.

The OPP East Region Twitter account tweeted out some photos after they helped to rescue an injured owl, and we've never been so jealous of a bird before.

According to the OPP's tweets, a local Good Samaritan "gave a hoot" and told the Lanark OPP in Carleton Place about the injured owl.

Police took care of the bird and passed it over to the Wild Bird Care Centre, an Ottawa-based organization that helps injured, ill or orphaned birds — but not before snagging a few incredible photos.

Wrapped up in a blanket, looking as chilled out as possible, this barred owl is exuding the energy that we all need in 2021.
