In the "River Valley Park North" section of the renderings, you can see that the park is set to include tons of outdoor activities encompassed in something called the "Nature Play Area."

Within the Nature Play Area, the city plans to construct a "cableway canyon," a "badlands scramble" and a "green giant forest."

These areas will host activities such as outdoor climbing, zip lines, slacklines, rope courses, swings and more.

The park will also host tons of off-leash areas for dogs, bike bridges, a large lawn for events and lots of places to hold your next picnic!

The new park and island are still a few years away, with completion being projected in 2024.

Recently, there's been lots of talk about revamping Toronto's downtown area. There have even been whisperings of replacing Rogers Centre.
