One of Canada's 'most beautiful' destinations is this BC small town with wildflower meadows
It's not far from Vancouver!

Pemberton BC. Right: A lake in BC.
It's not difficult to find beauty in Canada. From towering mountain peaks to vast oceans and thick rainforests — there's a lot within our borders. Some places though stand out, getting extra attention for their nature scenery and awe-inspiring beauty.
This small town in B.C. is one of those places, with fields of blooming wildflowers set beneath mammoth mountains and a cute town center to top it all off. It's a place that will leave you breathless, and itching to keep exploring.
This is Pemberton, a little community not to far from Vancouver (about a two-hour-long drive), but that feels like a world away. Recently it was shouted out by Canadians as one of the most beautiful destinations in the country, on the Narcity Facebook Page.
It's undoubtedly stunning, and one of the first things you'll see driving into town is the towering Mount Currie. The mountain is the backdrop of the town, overlooking it all and giving you an incredible view weather you're walking to the cafe, driving down the road, or out for a hike.
To get to Pemberton from Vancouver you're journey is scenic from the jump. You'll drive along the Sea-to-Sky highway, with the sparkling ocean on one side, thick forest on the other, and jagged mountain peaks in the distance.
Along the way you'll pass by the famous ski town of Whistler – perfect for making a pit-stop in if you want to extend your trip.
Whistler is definitely more bustling than Pemberton, although it's only 30 minutes down the road. Once you reach the smaller town though you'll see the appeal of less crowds, open space, and rich natural beauty.
You can take your pick of adventure, with the iconic Joffre Lake hike just 30 minutes past town, and many trails winding through the area.
There's also lakes to drive right up to for a swim, and One Mile Lake is a go-to here. A path winds around the lake, and there's a dock there to walk out onto.
The town is small but has cute cafes, a couple of little shops, and good food. Blackbird Bakery and Mount Currie coffee are hot-spots to fuel up at, and Mile One Eating House as an unmatched burger.
If you go on a sunny day in the summer you can't beat the view from North Arm Farm. The small farm is idyllic, especially when the flowers are blooming and you can sit out on their swing, looking at the backdrop of the mountain.
They also have U-Pick, produce, treats, and events throughout the summer.
A day spent here is one full of picturesque scenes and embracing a slowed-down pace. We can see why it's been named as one of the most beautiful spots around.
