This little mountain town in B.C. was named among the prettiest in Canada, with wildflower meadows set alongside idyllic lakes and jagged peaks surrounding it all. It's a hidden gem destination, just a short road trip from Vancouver, but often overlooked.

Pemberton is a cozy spot, just over two hours away from Vancouver, but a complete escape from the busy city streets.

While the nearby town of Whistler garners the most attention in this area, Pemberton got a shout-out on the Narcity poll, named as one of Canada's "prettiest small towns."

The journey here is like a little taste of the beauty to come. From Vancouver, you drive along the famous Sea-to-Sky highway, with the ocean spanning out on one side and mountains rolling past your car window on the other.

You'll drive through Whistler, and can even make it a stop on your trip if you want a livelier vibe for a bit.

Pemberton offers a slower pace, though, with a small-town feel and incredible surrounding nature.

If you're feeling hungry, grab a bite from Mile One, which has delicious burgers. Or opt for a snack and a coffee from Blackbird Bakery.

North Arm Farm is a one-stop shop for fun on a sunny afternoon in Pemberton. You can enjoy lunch here with a breathtaking view of Mount Currie, towering above the scenic farm.

Then there's the U-Pick fields if you want to get some fresh berries and take in the views while at it.

If you're up for some adventure, it's easy to find in Pemberton. Hiking trails wind all throughout the area, taking you to stunning lookouts and deep into the lush forest. About 30 minutes outside of town, you can find the Joffre Lakes hike, which is famed for having three turquoise-blue lakes along the trail.

One Mile Lake offers a more low-key experience, as you can stroll around the lake on the pathway and even go for a dip after.

From the small town vibes and idyllic farm settings to the incredible natural beauty, there's a lot that makes Pemberton pretty.
