If you like mountain activities, you'll love this. Whistler is opening back up at the end of June 2020 which means it’s time to get outside and get moving. The mountain will be opening up for hiking and mountain biking with some sightseeing opportunities available, too.

Chances are, you're probably going stir crazy and are just wanting to get back to all your favourite activities.

While ski season was cut short, this popular mountain resort in B.C. is opening back up very soon so you can still have a rad summer.

According to a press release, Whistler Blackcomb is opening back up on Monday, June 29 as part of the province's reopening plan.

Even though it’s reopening to the public, there will be health and safety measures put in place.

Focusing on sightseeing and mountain biking, The Whistler Village Gondola, Peak 2 Peak Gondola, and Blackcomb Gondola will all be open for visitors.

The mountain bike park will also be open in the Fitz and Garbanzo zones.

If you get hungry during your adventures, don’t worry. There'll be some grab-and-go food options available at the Rendezvous, Garbanzo Bike and Bean, and Roundhouse Lodge.

Much like air travel, things may look a little different as health and safety is a top priority.

Physical distancing measures will be put in place and face coverings will be required for both the guests and staff.

This will be enforced in areas where there are lines, on chairlifts, and inside resort facilitates.

If you don’t have your own, there'll be some available upon request as supplies last.

Cashless transitions will also be preferred at the resort, so bring a debit or credit card.

Chairlifts may also look a little different as you'll only be allowed up with the people that are in your party.

High traffic areas will also be cleaned regularly and hand sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the resort.

These health and safety protocols are part of our new normal and as long as we adhere to them, we should be able to have a fun experience.

Just remember to bring your helmet if you’re mountain biking.
