That's an almost 30% rise in popularity since last February, when the politician was sitting at a rating of just 46%.

Horgan beat out Ontario Premier Doug Ford with a 66% rating and Quebec leader Francois Legault with 65%, in second and third place, respectively.

The high score came just before a new surge in COVID-19 cases within the province, most of which have occurred in people aged 20 to 29.
