Magical views await at this stunning Ontario park. You can gaze into a star-filled sky and enjoy breathtaking views of the Milky Way while visiting this spot.

The national park is one of 13 Dark Sky Preserves in Canada, meaning that it's one of the rare places where you can enjoy incredible celestial views without light pollution.

Glittering constellations, the majestic Milky Way and glowing moon will illuminate the sky above you, creating an enchanting landscape for you to experience.

Bruce Peninsula National Park, situated in Tobermory, is known for its tropical-like turquoise waters and rugged limestone shoreline.

As a Dark Sky Preserve, it's a great place to take in the views of the night sky. You can even camp out at one of the park's designated sites, giving you extra time to enjoy those celestial views.

According to the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, there are two areas in the park where you can get the best views of the night sky. The main stargazing area is near the facilities by Cyprus Lake, and the second spot is situated on the southwest side of Highway 6, from the Cyprus Campground. The area, known as Singing Sands, "is a coastal site with no lights and a low horizon."

Parks Canada recommends checking the weather before heading out as well as bringing your binoculars, telescope, star chart or stargazing app for the best experience.

Aside from stargazing, the park offers activities like hiking, swimming, paddling, skiing and more.

Fathom Five National Marine Park is another designated Dark Sky Preserve located just 10 minutes from Bruce Peninsula National Park, so you could even plan an adventure to both areas.
