We might be in the thick of winter, but you can already start to get excited about the warmer weather ahead because Canada's spring forecast is here. For Alberta, the weather forecast for the season is looking especially wet with a sprinkle of some stormy weather.

The 2025 Old Farmer's Almanac released its spring forecast, calling for warmer-than-normal temperatures and wet weather after a little lingering April snowfall.

While April and May are set to be warmer than normal in the province, as well as in Saskatchewan and most of Manitoba, it will also come with some dreary days.

The forecast is calling for more precipitation than normal in the prairies, and a little bit of snowfall in early April. May is set to bring a change though with "periodic thunderstorms" in the forecast.

Farmers Almanac, another extended weather forecast, also predicts that rain is to come, with a "wet Easter Sunday" set for the Rockies and Prairies.

Alberta isn't the only one with damp days ahead. B.C. is also set to have a wet and warm spring, with more rain than normal.

So dig out the rain gear and get ready for warmer days to come!
