Even though fall is going to bring with it potentially bone-chilling temperatures, Alberta’s fall forecast looks super cozy compared to the frozen hell that is coming for us this winter.

While snow won’t be hitting the ground for quite some time yet, we should expect to see a wetter than normal fall across the central and southern Rockies as well as parts of the south says the Weather Network's fall forecast.

An extended autumn is expected for most of Canada.

For the most part, September will feel like September with the exception of some October-like weather patterns which include a few instances of early winter.

That being said, the winter patterns won’t stick around and we can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that there’ll be a delay in the arrival consistent winter weather.

We aren’t totally in the clear as Alberta is at risk of seeing colder than normal temperatures but even so, they’re nothing compared to what winter is expected to bring this year.
