Police announced on Wednesday, August 19, that a Calgary road rage accident left a seven-year-old girl seriously injured. 

The incident took place on August 15 after a sedan ran a red light and came "into the path of the victim’s car," said the Facebook post.

An "unknown man" left the backseat of the sedan during the incident and reportedly threw a hot beverage through the open window, "missing the driver but splashing his seven-year-old daughter." 

The girl was taken to hospital for treatment for second-degree burns and has since been released.


Calgary Police Service

Police are looking for three suspects that were in the sedan at the time of the accident. 

The driver is described as a South Asian man in his mid-20s with a black beard, whereas another passenger is described as a South Asian man in his 60s with short, white facial hair. 

The man who threw the hot drink is described as a South Asian man in his early 20s, about five-foot-eight with a solid build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and hat.
