What are the jobs?

Positions with PSPC available right now include administrative or executive assistant, project officer, and business analyst.

In either of the assistant jobs, you would be providing administrative support to the office, which could include completing documentation for HR and purchasing office supplies.

At the executive level, you can expect some of the duties to include managing agendas and liaising with stakeholders.

As a project officer, you would be responsible for risk identification and analysis of procedures, as well as planning and executing various projects.

Finally, as a business analyst, you would be analyzing strategies, tools, and processes. You would also be involved in the resolution of any operational incidents.

What are the requirements?

A high school diploma is the only educational prerequisite for applying to any of these positions. However, an acceptable combination of training, experience, and education may also be accepted by hiring managers.

Applicants should have some experience with administrative duties, which can come from a variety of different fields.

This includes operational planning, financial management, and human resources management.

Any prior experience in providing advice or recommendations based on research and analysis would also be beneficial.

The abilities to communicate effectively with clients, collaborate with others to achieve goals, and think analytically are also important.

Are other government jobs available?

If working in procurement isn't something that interests you, but you'd still like to find work with the government, there are plenty of other positions available.

Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada is currently hiring people for various positions that pay salaries of up to $61,877.

In addition, the Canada Revenue Agency is hiring for entry-level positions at its Sudbury tax centre. No prior experience is required and you could earn up to $47,581.00.
