Intelligence Officers at CSIS are primarily responsible for managing investigations and collecting intelligence.

You'll also work as part of the "critically important mission" of protecting Canada's national security interests which includes democracy, prosperity, and safety.

Becoming a full-working Intelligence Officer typically involves working at the national headquarters in Ottawa as a Case Officer and then a posting to a regional office as an Investigator.

Also, the successful completion of the 14-week Intelligence Officer Entry Training course in Ottawa is required.

Intelligence Officers get paid a CSIS salary that's between $75,720 and $118,250 a year.

To get hired for these CSIS jobs, you need to be a Canadian citizen and have completed an undergraduate bachelor's degree.

Also, work experience that helped you develop the competencies required to be an Intelligence Officer is required.
