The RCMP is sharing the top Canadian scams that people fell victim to in 2020 along with a massive list of other ones to look out for. 

According to the Government of Canada, there have already been 11,266 reports of fraud in 2021 alone and $34,600 has already been lost to scams this year.

The RCMP detailed the most common scams in a tweet, also sharing a link to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center where you'll find a giant, alphabetical list of scams. 

The list starts at scams related to "air duct cleaning" and extends all the way down to fraudulent "weight loss grants." 

The government suggests that you protect yourself and your money by doing your research, refusing to give out personal info, being wary of up-front fees, and never clicking on or listening to "urgent-looking messages that pop up while you're browsing online."
