The location, which will include a public beach alongside forested dunes, aims to create a "new multi-use destination" in the city's east end. In fact, the release even states the space could be used for pop-up events, concerts and more. The 1.9 acres of open space, located at 12 Leslie Street, will also have a viewing platform where you can take in the Toronto skyline. The park is being designed by Claude Cormier + Associés, who famously also designed Sugar Beach. According to CP24, John Tory states while they hope to begin construction by March, it could be a few years before the park is open to the public.
