An Ontario man has been charged after reportedly taking a stolen golf cart for a joyride on the QEW.\nAccording to Halton Regional Police, a 25-year-old Burlington man was arrested at a mall on Sunday after he was discovered driving "erratically." \nEditor's Choice: Here Are All The New Air Travel Rules That Take Effect In Toronto Starting Today\n\n\n\n“\n\n\nWe did receive a call about a golf cart being driven erratically in Burlington on Jan 31 at approx. 11:55 am. \n\n\nHalton Regional Police Services \n\n\nPolice state that the cart was reportedly stolen from an Oakville location before the man was caught cruising down the highway and through Burlington. \n"The cart was then observed to be driving on the QEW (Guelph Line to Brant Street) as well as through Burlington," reads a statement sent to Narcity. \nAccording to CBC, the cart was actually taken from Appleby College.\nOnce police we able to track down the suspect, he was later charged with theft of a motor vehicle. \nThis isn't the first time that someone has used a golf cart irresponsibly. \nLast year, a 23-year-old was arrested near Toronto after they were caught riding the vehicle down the road while drunk. \n*Cover photo used for illustrative purposes only.
