"I call on President Trump to go on national television now and fulfill his oath and defend the constitution," demanded Biden.

After hours of disorder, Trump finally released a video on Twitter urging the protesters to "go home."

As of now, thousands of violent protesters remain outside the Capitol waving Trump flags and chanting "U-S-A, U-S-A".

Lawmakers were rushed out of the Capitol earlier today when demonstrators breached the building.

According to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, it was heard over the Capitol Police radio that there were "shots fired" in the building.

ABC reported shortly after that a woman was shot in the chest and rushed to the hospital.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has ordered a citywide curfew starting at 6 p.m.
