New Report Reveals That Canada Is One Of The Most Free Countries In The World

A new report by Freedom House has just revealed that Canada is among the 10 most free countries in the world. 

The ranking is judged by rating 210 different countries and territories on access to political rights and civil liberties, says Freedom House

Each place has been given a "freedom score" out of 100.

Finland, Norway, and Sweden all received perfect scores of 100 and tied for first place. 

Next in line is New Zealand at 99 and then comes Netherlands, Uruguay, and Canada, tied at 98. 

For Canada specifically, the country was awarded 40 out of 40 for political rights and 58 out of 60 for civil liberties. 

The report outlined an 11 point "decline" of freedom in the U.S. over the last ten years. 

The U.S. received a score of 83.
