The Trudeau family aren’t afraid to share their "normal" photos! In an Instagram post on Sunday, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau honoured her son’s birthday by sharing a hilariously typical mom photo.

October 18 is Xavier James’ birthday and this year he turned 13-years-old.

To mark the occasion, Mrs. Trudeau posted a relatable photo of the two of them together, in which she appears to be lathering sunscreen all over her now-teenage son.

Posting the adorable image on social media, Sophie joked, “My big 10-pound baby is now a teenager! Help!”

She continued, “Keep being courageous, open-minded, (sometimes stubborn!) and kind... love you my Big Buddy!”

Sophie wasn’t the only family member to celebrate Xavier online, either.

The prime minister also shared a sweet message with his son and thanked him for the introduction to memes!

October 18 is also Justin Trudeau’s dad’s birthday. According to the PM, Pierre Trudeau would have been 101 years old this year.
