Once you have successfully completed your vision and hearing exams and you have the forms confirming that you meet the minimum requirements, you are ready to apply! RCMP

After you've passed your vision and hearing tests, you will then submit an online application for the police officer position.

Next, you'll need to attend a career presentation and write an entrance exam. If you don't pass, your application process will end there.

If you do pass, you'll need to gather a bunch of documents and fill out some forms within two days.

Then comes the "suitability assessment" and "Right Fit Interview" which determine things like your competencies and core values to make sure you're a good match for the position.

Next, you'll get a background check and be hooked up to a polygraph to verify that you've been honest on your application.

The last two steps include medical and psychological assessments and an even deeper dive into your background with a "field investigation and security assessment."

If all of that works out, you'll be contacted to attend the Cadet Training Program for 26 weeks in Saskatchewan.*

Are you up for it?
