Your next date idea!
The wait is officially over. You can now head totrack whenever you want. The mall announced the opening just a few short days ago and we couldn’t be more excited. The best part is that it’s super cheap to visit.
Months ago, West Edmonton Mall announced that they would be gettingmulti-level go-kart track.
This facility is completely original and based on the renderings that were released. Basically it's the ultimate Mario Kart fantasy come true.
The mall kept things pretty quiet and didn't tell anyone when it was going to.
But all the waiting has paid off because, on Saturday, September 19, the go-kart track of your dreams opened.
DRIVE plays on the theme of New York so when you get there, expect to see streetscapes, paintings of buildings, and one of the wildest tracks ever.
General admission tickets will set you back $27.
It’s open every day and doesn’t close until 9 p.m. making it the perfect after-work activity.
The awesome part is that you won't be the only one on the track. Up to 12 people are allowed toat any given time so we suggest bringing your friends.
Remember, this is go-karting, not bumper cars. Therefore, intentionally bumping into others or the barriers is not allowed.
Be respectful or you could get kicked off the track.
If you’re up for it, place a wager or two with your rival racers. The DRIVE app will post all race times and scores so you can see who the real MVP is.
Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes when you go. Pants are also a must but if you plan on wearing a skirt or dress, be prepared to wear one of the provided race suits.
Face coverings must also be worn in the common areas of the facility but they’re optional while racing.
Everything is sanitized between each race and there are sanitizing stations available throughout the track.
Don’t worry ifisn’t your thing.
You don’t have to drive to get in on all the fun as spectators are allowed to watch for free.
The viewing deck does have a limited capacity so you may need to wait for your turn.
Whether you’re looking for a way to release stress or a fun new, this race track has you covered.
Just be sure to wear a helmet.
