In tragic news, yet another toddler has been killed after being hit by a driver in the Toronto area, this time in a Mississauga car crash on Wednesday evening, August 12.

Peel Police tweeted soon after 5:30 on Wednesday evening that a child was in life-threatening condition after being struck at the intersection of Confederation Parkway and Paisley Boulevard in Mississauga.

At around 7:40 p.m., police gave an update confirming that the young child was pronounced dead at a hospital. Officers later announced the deceased is a 19-month-old boy.

Const. Sarah Patten added the driver transported the child and the mother to hospital themselves.

This comes just one day after a tragic Etobicoke accident, in which a father and his two children were hit by a vehicle. The three-year-old son died from his injuries later that day.
