The pandemic has presented all kinds of opportunities for innovation when it comes to PPE, and these Toronto-based inventors have created a sophisticated new option.

Yezin and Dina Al-Qaysi have created an air-purifying shield called the BioVYZR, a helmet that protects you from harmful air pollutants and pathogens.

Yezin and Dina Al-Qaysi are the founders of Vyzr Technologies and also happen to be siblings, according to CTV News.

Their 360-degree shield claims to filter 95% of the particles it encounters.

It's described as a "ground-breaking outer layer designed to provide an unmatched degree of protection against airborne hazards in our daily environments."

Its features include an anti-fogging face shield, 2 peripheral side windows, 2 fans (both with 8-hour battery lives), reversible gloves, and a rechargeable power supply.

It comes in three sizes: adult small, adult medium, and adult large, and comes with a pack of filters, as well. It is lightweight and also easy to pack and store, says the description.

The BioVYZR costs CAD$493.00 plus shipping on the company's website.

On Instagram, you'll find dozens of selfies of customers posing in their helmets on Instagram, and wearing them to places like the grocery store. Even Steve Aoki has one.
