Looking to save on flights? One way to save on airfare is to purchase a flight pass, which can help you score a deal on the price of flights.

Flight passes are typically bundles of prepaid flights that are valid within a certain region and for a specific amount of time. While many U.S. and international carriers offer flight passes, it can be difficult to find ones available to Canadian travellers.

To ease your search, we've rounded up a few airlines with flight passes that include flights from Toronto Pearson Airport, among other airports in Canada.

If you're a frequent flyer or you're looking to do more travel in 2024, here are three flight passes you may want to consider:

Air Canada

Details: Air Canada's flight pass allows you to pay a flat price for a number of one-way flight credits, enabling you to lock in prices rather than paying for each flight separately.

The flight passes are available for several different routes and regions, with passes for travel between the U.S. and Canada, within Canada, and between Canada and other countries.

The Across Canada flight pass lets you take 10 one-way trips within Canada for a fixed rate, in economy or business class, starting at $7,119.

The Sun flight pass allows you to pay a flat fee for six flights to destinations like Hawaii and Florida, perfect for soaking up some sun.

In certain zones, you can also purchase flight passes that allow for unlimited travel for three or six months.

Flight passes are valid for up to 12 months. While you have to be an Aeroplan member to purchase one, it's free to sign up for the rewards program.

Qantas

Details: Australia's national airline offers a flight pass that allows travellers to see the country on one itinerary.

With Qantas Explorer, travellers can add a series of domestic flights within Australia or New Zealand to an international booking from Canada and save on flights in each country.

For example, you could book a flight from Toronto to Melbourne with Qantas and add domestic flights to Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Auckland and more and get a discount on fares.

There are over 100 routes across Australia and New Zealand that travellers can choose from. Qantas-operated flights also come with inflight entertainment and food and beverage, and your baggage is included in the fare on every flight.

Porter Airlines

Details: Porter Airlines offers the "Porter Pass," which allows travellers to purchase flights at a fixed rate.

Porter Passes are packages of 10, 20, 50 and 100 prepaid flight credits that you can purchase at one low price and redeem for a flight at your convenience.

The pass is great for people who travel often, and with most of the packages, can even be shared with other travellers, regardless of whether or not they travel with you.

To purchase a Porter Pass package, you have to be a member of VIPorter, the airline's frequent flyer program. However, it's easy to join and free to sign up for.

The passes are available for specific routes, such as between Toronto and New York City or Toronto and Montreal or Quebec City, or for travel anywhere within a certain region, like Canada, Ontario or between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal and the U.S.
