A Toronto pizza spot has announced that they are shutting their doors to help keep their customers safe.

Conspiracy Pizza, which shares its location with a location of the infamous Adamson Barbecue, announced on Tuesday that they would no longer be serving customers.

A statement on their website cited safety concerns and recent events as the reason behind the decision.

Due to recent events beyond our control, it has become clear that we can no longer guarantee the safety of our staff or customers in the face of a quickly escalating pandemic. Dan Rios, Owner

"I want to thank our customers for the endless support you have given us since we first opened our doors and especially over the past year," the statement added.

The East York location makes no direct mention of Adamson Barbecue or the events that surround the chain in the statement.

Instead, the venue announced that "this is not the end of Conspiracy Pizza."

The owner plans to reopen in a different location and come back stronger.

Last month, Adamson Barbecue made headlines after disobeying lockdown orders at their Etobicoke location.
