If you've been waiting to take your G2 or G test, it's finally time!

The Ontario government announced on Wednesday that it will be resuming all in-vehicle passenger road tests on June 14 at DriveTest centres across the province.

Due to the backlog of tests that have been put on hold due to COVID-19, the centres will also be extending hours for tests and hiring an additional 167 driver examiners.

Six pop-up locations, which will provide passenger road tests seven days a week in high-demand areas, will also open in September 2021.

You can already book your appointment on the DriveTest website.

"As more people get vaccinated and COVID-19 case numbers decline, we are able to safely restart passenger road testing at DriveTest centres. We have developed a comprehensive plan to clear the backlog of road tests created as a result of COVID-19 restrictions," Caroline Mulroney, minister of transportation, stated in a press release.
