You don't need to go too far from Toronto to find yourself immersed in nature. There are so many gorgeous spots to hike around the city and enjoy some fresh air.
The conservation area near Toronto is a beautiful spot for a stroll and is home to some incredible hidden gems. Located just under an hour from the city, it has several picturesque trails and natural wonders to explore. If you're in search of a dreamy hiking destination, look no further.
Hilton Falls Conservation Area is a year-round natural area featuring hiking and biking trails and gorgeous landscapes.
One of the highlights of the area is the magnificent Hilton Falls located beside the ruins of three 19th century saw mills. The waterfall is worth seeing in all seasons and is a magivcal hidden gem.
You can find the falls and the ruins along the Hilton Falls Trail. The short 3-kilometre roundtrip is easily accessible from the parking lot.
There are several other trails to explore in the conservation area, including the Red Oak Trail, which loops around a picturesque reservoir and takes you past streams and beaver ponds.
Snow and ice are not treated during the winter so use caution when hiking during this season.
