This magical autumn village near Toronto has a trail that leads past 2 majestic waterfalls

If you're looking for something extra cozy to do this fall, you'll want to put on your comfiest knit sweater and head to this enchanting trail in Ontario.
Located just over an hour from Toronto, the trail leads through a historic village steeped in fall colours and past two gorgeous waterfalls.
You'll be transported back in time as you wander around the old-world buildings and breathe in the crisp smell of fall air.
There are several trails throughout the area, so you can enjoy waterfall views, colourful woodlands and more.
Here's what to know about this beautiful destination.
Ball's Falls Conservation Area is nestled in the picturesque Twenty Valley, about an hour and a half away from Toronto.
It's home to two waterfalls — Upper Falls and Lower Falls, as well as scenic trails, a heritage village and more. The water flow varies depending on the time of year and is most powerful in the spring.
Fall brings a new kind of beauty to the area, when the valley transforms with vibrant hues of red and orange.
The one the top hikes in Ball's Falls Conservation Area is the Cataract Trail. The path leads you along the Twenty Mile Creek to both of the waterfalls, as well as through the old-world village where you can take in the charm of the buildings.
The hike features towering cliffs, gorgeous views and picturesque surroundings. The 1.7 kilometre adventure takes around 30 to 40 minutes to complete.
You can also explore the other shorter trails including the Forest Frolic Trail and Switch Back Trail.
The heritage village located in the conservation area is known as Glen Elgin, which dates back to the early 1800s. During your visit, you can explore some of the buildings like the original Ball family home, an operating flour mill, a lime kiln, a church and a black smith shop.
Each fall, the conservation area hosts the Ball's Falls Thanksgiving Festival where you can enjoy live music, activities, food, artisans and more. This year, the festival is taking place from October 11 to 14.
