No matter the season, it's never a bad time to get outside and explore your own backyard. There are dozens of Peach State state parks, some of which you might not have experienced yet and are totally worth their $5 admission prices. While on your journey to check out them all, you should take a visit to Tallulah Gorge in North Georgia to walk across a massive suspension bridge and drink in the sights of breathtaking waterfalls.

Tallulah Gorge State Park is located in Tallulah Falls. Tucked away in the northern part of the state's mountains, you know you'll be in for some seriously spectacular views

This park has many hiking opportunities waiting for you to explore, but the Tempesta & Hurricane Falls Trail will take you to see the best that it has to offer.

You'll get the chance to walk across a swaying suspension bridge 80-feet above the gorge's rocky floor, overlooking the river and waterfalls that flow below it.

The actual Hurricane Falls that you'll be led to will mesmerize you with its aqua blue water that you might not believe is real.

This trail is labeled as a more difficult hike because of all the stairs you'll have to climb and the rocky terrain along the way.

It's only about 2-miles round trip, but you'll have to overcome 1,099 stairs throughout your journey โ€” and the payoffs are totally worth the challenge.

You'll not only hit Hurricane Falls on this trail, but you'll also get a few glimpses of Tempesta Falls, too.

You'll need a permit if you want to hike down to the bottom of the gorge though, which are temporarily suspended due to the center being closed on weekends.

While you can't travel down to the gorge floor right now, as you cross the suspension bridge, you'll be able to take all the amazing photos of the falls and hear the zen-inducing sounds of their rushing waters.

Even though it'll take some bravery to walk across this huge swaying bridge, some pretty amazing views will be there to cheer you on.
